How spooky is this tray?! 😱
The beauty of this spooky charcuterie board is that it can be done at any price point and can be customized with goodies your crew will enjoy! With that said, I’m sharing some fun Halloween charcuterie board ideas for inspiration. The best part, none of these ideas are complicated, including the easy DIY meat skull using prosciutto and an inexpensive plastic skull! 💀
Tips for making the best Halloween charcuterie board:
- Grab your largest serving tray, sheet pan, or cutting board to create a big snack board.
- For the spider on top of the brie cheese wheel, I used large black olives! To create the spider shape, simply cut one olive in half lengthwise and position it facing down for the body. Slices cut in half make up the legs.
- The cute mummies were so easy to make using crescent rolls and Lit’l Smokies sausages, and they honesty taste delicious! See below for more detailed instructions.
- For the ghost string cheese, just draw faces onto the packaging using a Sharpie marker. It turns out so adorable!
- I grabbed a store-bought sharp cheddar cheese ball, and made pumpkin marks down the sides using a knife, and then inserted a piece of celery on the top to make it look more like a pumpkin!

Ingredients

For the meat covered skull:
For the pumpkin oranges:
Extras for the charcuterie board:
Directions
1
For the hot dog mummies:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Pinch together the crescent rolls into 4 rectangles and use a pizza cutter to cut thin slices of dough. Wrap each smokie with a couple of pieces of dough, leaving space in between so it will look like bandages. Bake on a sheet pan for about 12 minutes until slightly browned. Press the eye balls on each one.
2
For the meat-covered skull:
Cover the skull with individual pieces of thinly sliced prosciutto including over the eyes. You’ll notice that they easily “stick” to the skull. I left off it off of the teeth area. Slice a green olive and place them as the eyes.
3
For the pumpkin oranges:
Peel the rind from small mandarin oranges. Cut small “stems” from pieces of celery and insert them in the tops.

To compile the Halloween charcuterie board, take all of your ingredients from the packaging and arrange them in an appealing way around your board or tray. Enjoy!

I loved making these Halloween snack charcuterie board ideas so much!
My family was super impressed with this spooky charcuterie board. I can’t wait to recreate something similar again on the 31st. I love that you can use up odds and ends from the pantry and fridge, and really customize it as desired.
If you only utilize one idea from this post, those little mummies would make a cute Halloween snack or easy lunch for the kids this month! Have fun!
I may also do a separate spooky charcuterie snack board with only Halloween candy!
